Getting Started

1

Connect with the Community

Join our Discord or Telegram to meet other regenerators. Introduce yourself, share what you're working on, and find collaborators.

2

Read the Constitution

Understand how the commons is structured and governed. The constitution is a living document—designed to be read, questioned, and improved.

3

Start Contributing

Contribution is the pathway to membership. Pick something that matches your skills and interests:

  • Code: Build tools, improve infrastructure, create agents
  • Content: Write documentation, share knowledge, create media
  • Community: Welcome newcomers, facilitate discussions, organize events
  • Governance: Participate in proposals, improve processes, steward decisions
  • Research: Explore ideas, synthesize knowledge, map the landscape
4

Move Through the Membranes

As you contribute, you'll naturally progress through the membrane architecture:

  • Newcomer → Participant: Your first meaningful contribution
  • Participant → Member: Consent of existing members
  • Member → Steward: Taking on governance responsibility

There's no timeline or quota. Movement happens through demonstrated care for the commons.

What We're Building

The commons is actively working on infrastructure for regenerative acceleration:

Agent Infrastructure

AI agents that participate in governance, manage treasury, and coordinate work. We're pioneering human-AI collaboration at the organizational level.

Knowledge Commons

Shared resources for regenerative projects. Documentation, patterns, and learnings that accelerate everyone's work.

Treasury Infrastructure

Multi-sig treasury with AI participation. Experimenting with regenerative funding mechanisms and resource allocation.

Coordination Tools

Governance systems, consent mechanisms, and collaboration infrastructure. The operating system for the commons.

For Developers

If you're a builder, here's how to get started technically:

# Clone the constitution
git clone https://github.com/re-acc-commons/constitution.git
cd constitution

# Explore the structure
ls -la

# Read the guide
cat GUIDE.md

# Check out agent infrastructure
ls .agents/

Current Technical Priorities

  • Agent skill development (see .agents/SKILLS_INDEX.md)
  • Discord bot enhancements
  • GitHub Actions workflows
  • Treasury automation with Gnosis Safe
  • Membership NFT contracts

Check the GitHub issues for specific tasks, or propose your own in Discord.

For Everyone

You don't need to code to contribute. The commons needs:

  • Writers to document processes and share knowledge
  • Organizers to coordinate events and working groups
  • Researchers to explore ideas and synthesize learnings
  • Facilitators to guide discussions and decision-making
  • Connectors to build bridges with other communities
  • Artists to visualize and communicate the vision

Every contribution matters. Start small, show up consistently, and the path forward will emerge.

Ready to Begin?

The commons exists because of its participants. Your presence makes it more real.
